Brincar de fazer

Quando crianças, nunca nos perguntávamos se aquilo que idealizávamos estava certo ou errado. Simplesmente criávamos. Transformávamos sabugos de milho e palitos de sorvete em uma fazendinha inteira, e ali, no chão da sala ou no quintal, éramos fazendeiros de verdade.
Nosso mundo era sempre um sonho possível — bastava imaginar e viver.

Ser criativo é resgatar esse pedaço de infância que permanece guardado em cada um de nós. É permitir que o olhar destemido volte a abrir caminhos. É brincar de fazer, sem medo, sem fronteiras, sem a exigência de acertar logo de início.

Claro, nem toda criação encontra espaço para nascer no momento em que a sonhamos. Algumas ideias precisam esperar, outras se adaptar. A vida real às vezes pede compasso.

Mas o que realmente defendo aqui é o valor desse instante criador — quase sempre um sopro de alegria infantil. Um momento de descoberta, de encantamento, de puro divertimento.
Criar, com toda certeza, é brincar de fazer.

Playing at Making

As children, we never stopped to wonder whether what we imagined was right or wrong. We simply created. We’d turn corn cobs and popsicle sticks into a small farm, and right there—on the living-room floor or out in the yard—we became real farmers.
Our world was always a possible dream — all we needed was to imagine and live it.

To be creative is to awaken that childlike spark still tucked inside each of us. It’s letting our fearless gaze open paths again. It’s playing at making, without hesitation, without limits, without the pressure to get it right from the start.

Of course, not every creation finds its time to be born. Some ideas must wait; others must bend to reality. Life sometimes asks for patience.

But what I truly want to highlight is the beauty of the creative moment — almost always an echo of childhood joy. A moment of discovery, wonder, and pure delight.
To create is, without a doubt, to play at making.
