Quem diria... numa tranquila manhã de outono em Bauru, no coração do Parque Vitória Régia, o inesperado aconteceu: uma ilustre visitante deu o ar da graça — uma onça-parda. Sim, você leu certo. Uma onça-parda de verdade, fêmea, adulta, linda e absolutamente... zen.

Who would have thought... on a peaceful autumn morning in Bauru, right in the heart of Vitória Régia Park, the unexpected happened: a very distinguished guest made an appearance — a puma. Yes, you read that right. A real, adult, female puma, gorgeous and absolutely... zen.

Enquanto a maioria dos transeuntes entrava em pânico, corria ou apenas congelava de susto, a felina exibia um comportamento digno de uma monja tibetana. Nada de rugidos, nem corridas. Apenas uma majestade felina ali, plena, passeando pela grama, como se dissesse: “Calma, humanos. Só vim passear.”

While most passersby panicked, ran away or simply froze in shock, the feline behaved like a true Tibetan monk. No growls, no chases. Just pure feline majesty, calmly sitting on the grass, as if saying: “Relax, humans. I’m just out for a stroll.”

Mas o verdadeiro mistério que pairava no ar era: como, em nome de todos os semáforos da Avenida Nações Unidas, essa onça apareceu ali sem ser vista por ninguém?! Nem uma selfie? Nenhum flagrante no grupo de bairro?

But the real mystery that hung in the air was: how, in the name of all the traffic lights on Nações Unidas Avenue, did this puma show up without anyone noticing?! Not a single selfie? No blurry photo in the neighborhood group chat?

O Corpo de Bombeiros, sempre eficiente, foi acionado. A onça foi resgatada com todo o cuidado, sem alarde, sem drama — como toda diva merece. E o melhor: foi levada para o Zoológico Municipal, onde hoje vive saudável, bem cuidada... e com fãs.

The Fire Department, always efficient, was called in. The puma was rescued with great care — no fuss, no drama — just the way any diva deserves. And the best part: she was taken to the Municipal Zoo, where she now lives healthy, well cared for... and with fans.

A resposta para o enigma da onça invisível surgiu depois: ela veio pelo cerrado, mata fechada que margeia a Nações Unidas, e, sob o manto da madrugada, percorreu calmamente até o parque. Uma verdadeira agente secreta da natureza.

The answer to the invisible puma mystery came later: she arrived through the cerrado, a patch of thick forest along Nações Unidas Avenue, and under the cover of night, calmly made her way to the park. A true secret agent of nature.

Para homenagear esse momento inusitado — e a beleza da nossa visitante —, fiz uns desenhos usando lápis de cor, com 11 cores diferentes, em papel A3. Uma tentativa de eternizar a elegância silenciosa dessa musa selvagem.

To honor this unexpected moment — and the beauty of our wild visitor — I made a special drawings using colored pencils, 11 different shades, on A3 paper. A humble attempt to capture the silent elegance of this wild muse.
